I was born in 1978 in Washington D.C. I spend my childhood in the D.C. metropolitan area and various locations abroad—La Paz, Buenos Aires, and Pretoria.
I attended Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology and Carnegie Mellon University, graduating in 2001 with B.S. in cognitive science (minor mathematics) and a B.S. in computer science.
In 1999 I studied abroad for a year at the National Taiwan Normal University in Taipei.
After college I spent four years in Boston, MA, working at the MITRE Corporation as a researcher in machine learning and statistical natural language processing.
I am currently a graduate student in the computer science master’s program at Stanford.
